People have had a couple days to figure out the women’s marches that took place on Saturday. But from what I read on the internet, some of you still “don’t get it”. Some people have trouble learning things and need a bit of help. Let me try to help you understand. In simple terms: what was it and why did it not “do anything”?
The women’s marches were basically a meet-and-greet. They allowed us to find out how many others there are out there. After all, it helps to know how many soldiers are in your army before you plan a war.
So that’s it. We met, we sang, and we marched. We took pictures. We learned about each other. We began talking about what we need, what we want, and what we will refuse.
Whether you “get” the marches or not really doesn’t matter. I cannot imagine remaining deliberately ignorant about anything and bragging about that ignorance, but that’s your choice if that’s how you want to be seen. I, for one, prefer to know what’s going on. Life is easier to deal with when you see it clearly. Hiding problems or turning away from them never helped to set them right.

Well said Libby! I marched so I would not feel alone and to show others that I was there to support them. I met and greeted a lot of people. The positive energy I encountered helps me feel stronger.
